In 2019, Norsteel Building Systems built one of the world’s largest mass timber facilities in BC’s East Kootenays for our repeat customer Kalesnikoff Lumber Company spanning 110,000 sq. ft. This structure includes 3 large overhead doors, two 7.5-ton bridge cranes spanning 80 feet, and strong steel rafters designed for the heavy snow loads and extreme weather conditions of the Kootenays. This project combined the expertise and knowledge of our project manager and experienced crew members to meet the expectations of our customer and achieve an amazing end result that is now a showcase production facility on the world stage.
